World Handicap System Seminars

Under the new World Handicap System (WHS), the USGA requires a representative, preferably the Handicap Chairperson, from each golf club to complete an educational component covering the new Rules of Handicapping and to pass the standardized quiz provided by the USGA.

The Wisconsin State Golf Association (WSGA) is pleased to announce that an online WHS education program, offering the required content and the standardized quiz, has been made available for your use.  This free and easy-to-use program consists of four educational video segments, with each segment accessible only after the previous one has been viewed.  After completing all of the segments, which will take approximately 45 to 60 minutes, the 20 question quiz will appear.  Please utilize the custom link below to ensure that your quiz submission is connected to both your club and the WSGA:

With the significance of the new changes, we would appreciate your efforts to have your club complete this requirement by June 1, 2020.   Any club failing to complete this requirement prior to this date will not be authorized to use the Rules of Handicapping and their members will receive a NH for their Handicap Index.

As always, we appreciate your support of the WSGA and the new WHS.  If you have any questions, please contact John Warren, Director of Course Rating and Handicapping for the Wisconsin State Golf Association at (414) 303-4440 or john@wsga.org.
